CLUBBERCISE
In order to pass the training course you need to submit a video of you teaching one routine in full that meets the requirements below.
You can choose from Energy In My Town, Issey Cross or Heaven, DJ Sammy.
You have 1 month from the date of purchase of the training course to submit your first video.
We will review it within 2 weeks of submission.
Please note: Late submissions are not accepted.
If you receive a referral, you’ll be able to submit a further two videos for review.
Our aim is to help you pass and we’ll do everything we can to get you through.
Please note: If you don’t pass the course, you will not be able to get licensed to teach Clubbercise classes.
We recommend that you review the Teaching Model (see Instructor Pack for details) and videos thoroughly before submitting your video.
Option 1 – Energy In My Town
Option 2 – Heaven
IMPORTANT: The music is exclusively for use with the video assessment and must not be shared.
Assessment criteria
Here’s what we’re looking for in your video submission:
Musicality & timing
Your movements must follow the beat of the music, observing the 32 count phrase and stepping on the 1 count consistently.
Movement
Your movements should mirror the moves from the original video.
Form & Technique
Please ensure that you monitor your arm lines, general form and technique to demonstrate safe and effective delivery.
Teaching Model
The track should successfully demonstrate our Teaching Model – IGNITE and GLOW Please see your Instructor Pack for more details. Cueing should be clear and concise and in advance of the move that you require your participants to complete.
If you have any questions about the assessment, or if you don’t feel you’ll be able to meet all of the above criteria for some reason (e.g. due to an injury) please contact us.
Adaptation of Choreography
The choreography must be adapted for the Low+Glow demographic. Only movements that need adapting should be changed. The choreography demonstrated should be as close to the original routine as possible but must adhere to the considerations mentioned in the instructor pack. Leave the camera recording after your demonstration of the choreography and tell us what you adapted and why.
Recording your video
- Keep the lights on so we can see you clearly
- Film in landscape ensuring that your entire body (including feet and hands) are visible
- Make sure the music is quiet enough so it is possible to hear your voice clearly
- Record your video privately, not in front of a live class
- Look at and engage with the camera as if it were an online class you are teaching
- Wear appropriate fitness clothing and footwear, just as you would when teaching a class
- You are not permitted to refer to the choreography video or choreo notes during the filming
Submitting your video
- Upload your video to Google Drive, Vimeo or YouTube. If you’re using Vimeo or YouTube make sure your video is private or password-protected not public. Here’s a guide to uploading to YouTube.
- Email the video link to mail@clubbercise.com along with your full name and the date you trained
Important: Please send a video that plays online, not one that needs to be downloaded. Make sure multiple email addresses can view the video, not just mail@clubbercise.com
Any videos that don’t meet our submission requirements will be rejected and a new video will be requested.
